Jeepney is a creative Filipino restaurant in the East Village that describes itself as a gastropub, and it has a burger on the menu unlike any other you’ve seen in New York. Made with layers of ground beef and longanisa (cured pork sausage), glazed with spicy banana ketchup and served on a challah bun with soy sauce-garlic aioli, it’s called the Chori burger. The chef, Miguel Trinidad, showed me how he puts it together.
