7.4 Le Bistrot you maquis, 69, rue Caulincourt in the 18th 01.46.06.06.64, Tuesdays and Wednesdays closed to a place my best Flanneur friend hub randomly, and I jumped - a good new place on the Montmartre - to try it. With some research, which it turned out was that Chief Andre Le Letty (alphabetically) at Prunier, Ledoyen, Anacreon, L ' Agassin and the tour D'Argent. With this resume, it can be heaven or hell.
Menu/Cartes are, how my old friend and colleague, used to say - "Confusigrams." There is a formula lunch on 16 S and "Menus" with 2 courses for 29 E and 3 for 36 E, and a-la-carte could run 30-45 E. But it's lotsa cool stuff on them.
For starters, our French friend more about food than anyone else knows I ever met/known have had pied de Cochon, the tureen the both classical and discovery-happy and my buddy on the street and I had mackerel with excellent marinated vegetables (carrots, fennel, garlic, beets, turnips and the like) with tomato and Ginger Sauce - the classic and inventive was – but which escaped the Shuttereye.
Then my buddy of Rognons, Madame our invited cod, Madame on the road & Colette had enjoyed the excellent bar with chorizo and I had three sublime piece Pintade with a rich creamy sauce.
For dessert of my camera started working again and shows 3 delicious desserts: mango compote, one cup strawberries in a delicious sauce and an excellent, warm chocolate with ice cream. All super!
Our Bill, with 2 1/2 bottles of wine, 1 bottle of Châteldon (don't ask), great bread and 3 coffees 248.50 E, so E was a few 99,40.
