Thai Basil

Thai basil is more pungent than regular Basil with a distinct licorice taste. Leaving your breath fresh and slightly sweet. The smell of the crushed leaves is a mixture of lime, cinnamon, rubber and cloves. It has cooked for salads and dishes.

The stems of the plant are green and purple on the tips always and it sports attractive edible purple, purple or white flowers.

It is an easy herb to grow. Put a thick stalks in cold water and leave in a cool place for a few days until it starts, signs of a small white roots. Transfer it to a pot with soil and put it in a shady place. Water regularly, even though it is quite hardy.
