Vietnamese mint

Vietnamese Mint smells similar to the Thai basil, but it is far more sharply with a hot bite, slightly numbing character and a strong alkalinity.

Also known known as hot Mint, it is used the sheet in Malaysian laksa soup and is often simply called laksa leaf. It has used as a salad ingredient, and cooked dishes.

The pointed leaves are often marked in Burgundy or purple brown colored spots near the base of the leaf. It is easy to grow and is best kept contained in a pot. Start as above described, in Thai basil. It will dry out and where irrigated, if it is not kept.
